4/11/2009 update - Gee, the electronic version of the contest certainly has made things easier for entering. But, getting people to follow deadlines in judging has not changed. The 2008 Region Six PoY winner was finally decided, and as you have already seen it is Greg Kahn. Congratulations to Greg and sorry about the delay. No real excuses, just the way things happen. I even had one of the errors, but my mistake only affected Region Four, not us.

We are still having some serious concerns about the need to keep our regional newsletter operational. The main news -- still and television clip winners and news -- is being done out of the national site. My efforts to get R6 members to contribute articles the site have proven fruitless. We have new regional officers and we will see if new direction gains new content for this site.

1/16/2009 update - November winners points are added to the top ten list. Only the top ten points are accurate. There is a problem with the long list of points. As soon as it is fixed I will update the remaining top 25 points.

1/2/2009 update - This is a just in case note. In case you looked at the R6 point totals on the national site in the last few weeks, they were wrong. A program glitch gave photographers points for their national wins in their regional point totals. That was incorrect and has been fixed. The standings list on the SixShooters homepage is correct (less your 2 points for entering Nov08 clips). I'll update when the Nov08 winners are announced. Hope everyone had a great holliday season and your new year is starting out wonderful.

12/14/2008 update - All our clips are judged and the 2008 standings on the NPPA6 homepage are current. Hip-hip-hooray!!!

12/6/2008 update - June clips are still unjudged, I've sent emails. Let me tell you about the 2007 final standings. As you know the lost clips caused quite a delay in our final results. When the year was finally finished I checked and the top two places did not change and I got the news up on the site as quick as possible. I posted the winners on the site, but failed to add Nov winning points onto those of you between third place and about 20th place. I sorry. I really wanted that year to be over. You might want to go and look at the Still Clip page and click on the 2007 POY link and see where you actually ended that year.

11/26/08 update - June clips are now the only outstanding unjudged month. As of today the new standings are posted on the opening page. You should refresh your cache regularly to make sure you are seeing the most up-to-date standings. I have some questions about the monthly 2-points being added into the standings. I will update you when I get an answer from the national office. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and you get to spend time with the ones you love.

11/15/08 update -- There are still three months of results missing. This is a problem across the association, not just Region Six. You might notice that in Oct08 we are the ONLY region judged instead of one of the missing.

Thank you all again for your patience. Believe me we are all working to resolve this and get caught up. However, as many of you know our business is in difficult times and we are all finding little "spare time" to volunteer with NPPA .

To repeat - the national website now publishes the winners from the still and television clip contests, so it would involve a huge block of my time to duplicate that content in a different format on our regional site. I insisted they show the standings for the top ten photograhers on the national site. However, I think we still need that information on our website, so I'm continuing to duplicate that on our front page.
